User roles, functionality and access privileges in Flowplayer

There are three scopes of access privileges in Flowplayer:

  1. User roles, e.g. being an admin or a regular user.
  2. Functionality a user should have access to
  3. Workspaces / sites within the organization a user should have access to

1. User roles

Flowplayer has the following user roles:

    • User Role
    • Scope of access
    • Intended use
    • Organization Admin
    • User management Organization management Workspace management
    • For all administrators to be able to invite new people and manage the overall organization
    • Workspace Admin
    • Workspace management
    • Allow people to manage individual workspace without having access to organization level information such as billing
    • Normal User
    • Normal User
    • Normal user who can work across the workspaces with access and upload and publish assets based on

User roles are set once for each user and apply to the entire organization and all workspaces within the organization.

    • Ability to limit the scope of functionality available to a user

    • Ability to limit the scope of functionality available to a user

3. Workspaces / Sites

For each user you can configure which workspaces / sites a certain user should have access to. Please note that the user will have the same user roles across all workspaces that the user has access to. Only organization admins have the possibility to change which workspace a user has access to.
